Camera obscura questions
- What did you see while you were inside the camera obscura? I can see moveing car and also i can see buildings.
- How is the camera obscura similar to the inside of a camera?
How is it different?
The hole reflects light on to a screen so you can see the outside image. The pin hole is the same as the aperture and also you can not take pictures and you can take it with you
- Why was the image upside- down? Because there was so much light trying to get in the pin whole that the light slowed down and turned the image upside down.

SLR Camera Notes
First way to control light into camera
2nd way is thought aperture.
small aperture less light.
Slow 1 second
1/30 second
Very fast= 1/100 second
Lower num = small aperture
Higher num = larger aperture
Shutter Aperture
It blurred in the background 1/250sec f/2.28
It too light and blurred (low aperture) 1/60sec f/2.8
Its dark and blurred (low aperture) 1/125sec f/11
Too light and blurred (low aperture) 1/4sec f/8
Too dark no picture 1/500sec f/22
Depth of field (DOF)
Background
DOF
For ground
The small aperture+ greater (DOF)
The larger aperture + more light small DOF, blurred.

Signifier and Signified
A sign when it becomes noticed, acts to signify meaning is it acts as a signifier.
The meaning- which is never more than an idea- is called the signified.
